Korea Toilet: Restroom Finder
Find the nearest clean public restroom in Korea — in English, even offline.
App Store — coming soon
Google Play — coming soon
Made for visitors to Korea. Public restrooms on one map, in English, with cleanliness ratings from people who used them. No account, no login — and the restroom list works without roaming data.
What it does
- Nearest restrooms on a map — with your permission, shows the public restrooms around you on a map and in a list sorted by distance, with walking time. “Directions” opens your maps app (Apple Maps, Google Maps, Naver Map or KakaoMap).
- Clean 4.0+ filter — shows only restrooms that visitors rated 4.0 or higher for cleanliness. You can also filter by Open now, No code, Accessible and Baby changing.
- One-tap reviews — after your visit, rate the restroom in one tap, and add tags, a short comment or a photo if you like. Comments are translated automatically, so you can read other visitors’ reviews in English, Korean, Japanese or Chinese.
- Door codes and a Korean phrase for staff — some restrooms in Korean buildings are locked with a door code. See the codes other visitors have shared and vote on whether they still work. If there is no code, tap “Show this to staff” to show a ready-made request in Korean: “화장실 비밀번호 알려주실 수 있나요?” (Could you tell me the restroom code?)
- Works offline — the restroom list and a map of Seoul are built into the app, so you can find a restroom with no SIM card or Wi-Fi. Map packs for other regions are coming soon (Settings → Offline packs).
What it is not
Restroom locations, opening hours and facilities come from public data and can be out of date. Ratings, door codes and photos are shared by other visitors, and businesses change their codes, so a code may no longer work. Each building sets its own access rules, and some restrooms are for customers only. The app does not give turn-by-turn directions; “Directions” opens the maps app on your phone.
This is an independent app by Dcode. It is not affiliated with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, any local government, or the businesses listed in the app.
Data sources
Restroom locations, opening hours and facilities come from the public restroom dataset (공중화장실 정보) published by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety on data.go.kr. Ratings, reviews, door codes and photos are contributed by users of the app. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, map tiles by Protomaps.
